App Privacy Policy
This page says what the ANKOR Android app does with your data. It is very short, because the app collects nothing.
Who is responsible
ANKOR

The short version
The app does not collect anything, does not send anything, and has no account. Everything it knows stays on your phone. The app does not have the Android internet permission, so it is not technically capable of sending data anywhere.
What stays on your device
The apps you chose to pause. Stored on your phone so ANKOR knows what to do during a session.
Your session history. Start time, end time and duration of each session, used to draw your history and your streaks.
Your settings. Profiles, schedules, and whether a scan may end a session.
All of this lives in the app’s private storage. Deleting the app deletes it.
Special permissions, and what they are for
Accessibility, called Focus Shield in the app. Android tells ANKOR the package name of the app that has just come to the foreground. If that app is one you chose to pause and a session is running, ANKOR brings its own screen to the front. ANKOR does not read the contents of your apps, does not see what you type, and never acts on your behalf inside another app. The information is used in the moment and is never stored or transmitted. Outside a session the service does nothing.
Notification access. ANKOR sees which app posted a notification, so it can dismiss notifications from paused apps during a session. ANKOR does not read the text of your notifications. Calls and alarms are never affected.
Usage access. Used to measure how long a session lasted, so your history and streaks are accurate.
NFC. Used to react to the ANKOR panel, and to write the panel when you program it from the app.
You can withdraw any of these in Android Settings at any time. ANKOR keeps working without them, it simply cannot pause apps.
What we do not do
No accounts and no sign in.
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers.
No third party services that collect data.
No selling and no sharing of data, because none is collected.
Children
The ANKOR app is not directed at children under 18.
Your rights
Because no data reaches us, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete on request. To remove everything the app holds, uninstall it or clear its storage in Android Settings. Questions go to hello@ankor.one.
