What is ANKOR?
A wall-mounted dock that gives your phone a fixed place. Screen turned to the wall, held by a magnet with just enough resistance to make picking it up a decision, not a reflex.
Do I need the app to use it?
Yes. The dock gives your phone a place. The app is what makes that place work, it starts the session, blocks the apps you chose, and keeps them blocked while you are anchored. Roughly half of what ANKOR does happens through the app.
Is ANKOR compatible with my phone?
iPhone 12 and later. Works without a case or with any MagSafe-compatible case. For other cases, the ANKOR MagSafe Ring is available separately.
Does ANKOR charge my phone?
ANKOR and ANKOR Black give your phone a place, not a charge. A charging version is in development.
Is my data safe with the app?
ANKOR only collects what’s needed to run session tracking. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared.
Do I need a hub or extra hardware?
No. ANKOR is a single object. Nothing else required.
Can the app block specific apps automatically?
Yes. When your phone is anchored, you choose which apps and notifications are blocked for that session.
What should I do if the NFC trigger isn’t responding?
Make sure NFC is enabled on your phone, then hold it directly against the ring for a moment. If it still doesn’t respond, reach out to support@ankor.one.
